Parody by Jesse Monkman

Performed by: Leila Hawana (2009)

This piece tells a story and is divided into 4 different sections that tie together. The first section is meant to have a vibrant energy to it, also with an aggressive feeling part way through it. The second section is meant to have a sense of longing. The third section is a melancholy feeling, while the fourth section ties back to the beginning mood of a vibrant and energetic mood.

This was my run at a solo contest at University of Oregon. I’m currently a sophomore at Southridge High School, and I would appreciate all comments and feedback on this. Everything is welcome, but please no profanity. Thanks, and enjoy! 🙂
