More than just a laugh: Improv at Harvard

Improvisation – a form of live theatre where the plot, characters, and dialogue are made up in the moment – can go beyond the laughs it provides audience members. Improv can gives its practitioners skills that can be translated to boost their social and professional skills. Harvard College’s Immediate Gratification Players (IGP) go over some of the skills they gained through improv – including teamwork, collaboration, listening, communication, and the ability to adapt and problem-solve – and how they can translate them to the workforce.
