We chose to play as Alexios, a Spartan rejected his family, making the journey from outcast mercenary to legendary hero, learning the truth about their past along the way. His family line was prophesised to bring doom to Sparta, which leads to the him being thrown off a cliff. He is found and raised by Markos to be a mercenary, but his personal odyssey leads him into a life of discovery and adventure. He is obsessed with finding his family and bringing to justice to those he destroyed his childhood.
In the modern era, Layla Hassan’s quest to find Isu artifacts leads her to discover a book written by Herodotus that refers to a Spartan mercenary who had come into contact with Isu artifacts, and may have even wielded one.
