«Matt and Rebecca» is a very popular channel on YouTube, currently standing at 1.4 million subscribers and still growing. As a fan, you probably know tons about this internet power couple, but even the biggest fans can be left out of the loop. With that said, let’s take a look at the top 10 things you didn’t know about Matt and Rebecca!

#10: Rebecca’s Achievements
You obviously know about Rebecca’s success on the channel with Matt, but did you know that she’s done a lot more? Rebecca is a MUSICALLY star with 1.7 million fans. She’s also an actress, writer, and producer with improv training to top it all off, but that’s not all. Before she became the icon we know and love, she was a nationally ranked gymnast and a professional cheerleader. That’s one heck of a resume.
#9: Matt’s Achievements
Let’s talk about Matt now. Did you know, aside from being a famous YouTuber, that Matt is a musician and producer as well? He’s also an editor, composer, and cinematographer and regularly collaborates with Joshua David Evans. It’s clear to see that being a YouTuber takes talent.
#8: Matt Before YouTube
Believe it or not, Matt’s path was not always set toward fame and fortune. In 2000, Matt went to college for 4 years and while in school went to work in sales for Hilton Hotels and would keep that job for six long years. Just remember kids, every star started somewhere.
#7: Rebecca Before Social Media
Rebecca was and is an incredibly hard worker, regularly pushing herself to be her best. She went to college and finished with a degree in communications and then went to doing TV commercials while also being a sports broadcaster for Gaucho News. If anything, you can say that she was determined.
#6: Rebecca’s Acting Roles
As previously mentioned, Rebecca is an actor, but did you know that she was an actor on «The Late Show with Craig Ferguson»? Her time spent on that show would ultimately help further her abilities in improvisation, a necessary skill in the entertainment world. Just think about it, a dream job for many was merely a milestone for Rebecca.
#5: Matt’s TV series
In 2012, Matt released a television series that he had both directed and produced known as «The Mumblesteens». It went for seven episodes of comedy filled entertainment and then he put it away. A year later he released another seven episode mini series called «Minute Motivations» and then in 2014, released «Halfway Hitched».
#4: Matt’s Acting Roles
You know about the television series known as «One Tree Hill» right? Who hasn’t after all, but did you know that Matt had a role in it? That’s right, he was an actor in one of America’s most popular dramas and even if it was for one episode, that’s more than a lot of actors can say.
#3: Rebecca and JoJo
Collaborations are common among YouTubers and other entertainers and if you’re a fan of former «Dance Moms» star and internet sensation, JoJo Siwa, you may have seen a familiar face in some of her videos. Yes, even hard working, independent Rebecca collabs sometimes.
#2: Matt Was In A Boy Band!?
Yup, I said it. When Matt was a teenager, he took his musical abilities and hooked with a boy band called «Townsend». It took a few trials, but the band loved what he brought to the table and the rest was history. It was an interesting career choice, but hey, it was the 90s after all.
#1: Rebecca’s Struggle
When Rebecca was 23 years old, she was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, an inflammatory bowl disease that is very deadly, but, being Rebecca, she refused to lay down and die. Through sheer determination, she fought the disease until she was cured. What a trooper!
