The game was started by Tyler Anderson for Colorado and Jon Lester for Chicago. Both starters pitched well, anderson threw 6 and two thirds of shutout ball (on short rest as well). Lester ran into trouble in the first inning but limited the damage to just one run. He Rolled through the colorado lineup after that before being pinch hit for in the bottom of the sixth.
Catcher Tony Wolters hit a Go-Ahead RBI Single in the top of the 13th inning, Scott Oberg retired the side in order in the bottom of the 13th.
