Welcome back for another Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice and Fire Video. Today I want to talk about some of the changes Game of Thrones made from the books. We all know how dark Game of Thrones can be at times, but there are still many things that they have chosen to tone down over the years. The books are filled with dark and disturbing moments, but I only picked a handful for this video that really had an impact on me the first time I read them. The first one is when Brienne is nearly killed by a character named Biter. In the show, Brienne fights the Hound and wins, but in the books, she fights Biter, who is a much tougher opponent in this scene. I also talk about a few different scenes with Reek and Ramsay. The descriptions about Reek’s appearance and living conditions are horrific, and we all know what happened on the show during Ramsay’s wedding night, but it played out very differently in the books.
