Ian Cognito at The Swan, Heddon-on-the-Wall — Comedy Walk 2013

By | 13.04.2019

In 2013 when I was a film student, my good friend and comedian Nick Banks asked me if I would film him and a group of his comedian friends, as they walked the length of Hadrians Wall in England. They did this in the aid of The Children and Young Persons Kidney Unit at the RVI Hospital in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

it took 6 days to walk the wall and we stopped and did a gig each night in a local pub. on the 2nd to last gig, I was lucky enough to get Ian on film, not many people have done so with his permission.

I sent him a copy of the gig but I don’t know if he ever watched it and it’s possibly still at the Post Office Depot in Bristol!
When I heard the news of his passing, I was shocked and saddened, but also laughed because if there was anyone who would want to die on stage, I guess it’d be him!

I’ve decided to release this video as I think people should see a full set of his instead of just snippets.

Rest in Peace Coggers!

big shout out to everyone who went on the walk and special thanks to Silky the compete in the video and Nick Banks for giving me the opportunity to share this.

Adam

P.S. If you’re easily offended, you probably shouldn’t watch this.
