TMZ released old footage of a skit that Cardi B did on a show called «Off the RIP.» The skit was called the «Real Housewives of the Civil Rights Movement» and it was satire of the wives of prominent civil rights leaders.
Cardi B portrayed Coretta Scott King in the skit and many people who saw it considered it to be distasteful.
Cardi B personally reached out to the daughter for Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King and humbly apologized.
