I had such fun making a writer’s version/parody of the Pitch Perfect Cups (When I’m Gone) song that Anna Kendricks did! No copyright infringement intended.
My version is called Books (When It’s Done). I purchased the karaoke version of the music, and recorded my changed up lyrics in fellow writer/muscian Tim McCanna’s studio in Mountain View, CA. I learned 2 things: 1. Syncing video to voice is a challenge (forgive the imperfections) and 2. that cup tapping pattern is not as easy as it looks—especially using a book!
