5 Movies Parents Thought Were For Kids (AND WERE SO WRONG)

Description:

We’ve all been there, sitting in the movie theater as a kid with your parents watching something so completely inappropriate even YOU are uncomfortable. It happens in every generation and you know what? It’s OK! Sometimes we need to be uncomfortable with our parents because, well nevermind. Anyway today Top 5 Supreme has a fun one for you! 5 Movies Parents Thought Were For Kids, and Were So Wrong! Before we get started with today’s video don’t forget to click the bell to get notified every single day with the best Top’s you’ll ever see. So let’s get rolling!

#5 Who Framed Roger Rabbit

Who Framed Roger Rabbit – besides being one of my personal favorite movies of all time – comes in at number 5 on this list. This 1989 half-animated film included just about every cartoon character ever created, and tells the story of a private detective who was hired by a cartoon producer to investigate an alleged adultery that quickly turns into a murder investigation. Whew, if that sounds like a lot for a kids movie – well, then it is. This PG film got really interesting towards then end when Judge Doom – the films protagonist – was run over, had his eyes pop out of his head, and then started firing off cartoon weapons.

#4 South Park Bigger, Longer & Uncut

So sometimes we see a cartoon or an animation and think that that HAS to be for kids, right? Well if you’ve ever seen an episode of South Park then you know that animated shows can be just as adult-themed as anything else. South Park – Bigger Longer and Uncut is a film based on this hit cartoon series, following a group of third graders as they sneak into an R-rated movie by a couple of ultra-vulgar tv personalities. The irony is that in the movie, outraged Americans try to censor the film because it’s too raunchy for children! hilarious pranks plague this cartoon movie.

#3 Monkeybone

Monkeybone follows a cartoonist with writer’s block. The main character is on the brink of a huge deal for a cartoon that he works on, but just before he’s able to ask his girlfriend to marry him he gets into a car accident and falls into a coma. The problem is that in his coma he falls into his own cartoon world. In the cartoon world he meets a bunch of different characters, ranging from his self-developed Monkeybone character to even the likes of a grim reaper. The film deals with life and death, heaven and hell, and there are plenty of that aren’t very kid friendly at all. The movie got a PG-13 rating, and to be honest with you, that’s probably a little light.

#2 Tarzoon: Shame of the Jungle

Now come on, you know we had to give you something off the radar, right? Tarzoon: Shame of the Jungle was originally launched in France back in 1975, where it did extremely well. That success – following a lawsuit that forced the movies name to be changed while it was still in the theaters – doomed it’s reception everywhere else. The movie is described as an French/Belgian animated film that took place in the deepest part of Africa. An evil queen was attempting to take over the earth and along the way tons of scenes were aired.

#1 Sausage Party

How some parents couldn’t read the title to this film and know that it probably wasn’t the best choice for their children is beyond me. In 2016 this animated flick about talking food hit theaters, and right away the critics were out. The movie is hilarious around every corner. Parents, please, don’t let your kids watch this movie if they’re too young! They’ll just start saying weird things at the most inappropriate times. You can’t say we didn’t warn you!
